From the Courts of my God...

Okay, its one thing to be a butterfly and enjoy the benefits of knowing so many wonderful people and experiencing so much of the country and the world. This has been an incredible few years of traveling and fulfilling specific assignments in specific places and mapping the country and different parts of the world....

However, traveling and being a butterfly makes it extremely difficult to settle into any one place and put in the roots that you would want in order to make a life for yourself that is focused in any of several directions....

I have had so many dreams deposited in me over the last several years and have obediently stayed on the path of the Lord's leading as He has brought me all over the place and through many fields and valleys along the way.

Yesterday, I was reminded of Psalm 84 and how the Lord had given me this verse at various points of this journey of traveling...

Psalm 84
2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Selah
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

Honestly, I have no idea how I ended up in the place I have ended up except that I have been following the Lord in His plans for me and trusting Him to align me completely with the desires of my heart in every way He has spoken to me about in the past. I have come not a day sooner than I felt led.

Today, I am experiencing freedoms to make my plans for the next season in ways that I have never felt so clearly before. The Lord often speaks to me through pictures of horses and again this week someone prayed for me and said, "I see a picture of a horse jumping over a row of bushes that are like a boundary line. And the horse is in the air. And the rider on that horse is you. And you are flying over boundary lines and barriers and the Lord is expanding your boundaries. I see that 2009 is a year of complete freedom for you." :-)

Well, I am feeling ready to settle in with my freedom. I am open to the Lord leading me to travel more and know for sure that I am suppose to go to Myanmar at some time. I have been planning on going this spring and still working out some possibilities for that option.

But I have also decided that unless I hear otherwise from the Lord, He is indeed blessing my travels to Hollywood and to Southern California. I have been pointed in the direction of coming here for several years and now I am finally here. In my freedom, this may be where I want to settle in and get to work on the dreams that have been planted in my heart over the last several years.

I have a lot of things to do and it will require much work! But I am ready for it and have been ready for a long time. I was antsy, but there were things I believe the Lord was doing in my heart and it seems like a relocation may have been fun and maybe even necessary. The plans are in motion. The story is unfolding.

I have made amazing connections here with old friends, new friends, and people on the streets. I will send out an official email update soon with more info on my travels here.

I just got an email this week that reminded me that I never was passive, though the Lord used the Valley of Baca to hide me for a while...He is also taking me from "strength to strength."

I remember who I used to be and how the Lord has carried me for the last few years. I feel a shifting back to the fullness of my personality. It has really been an interesting ride. I am really interested still in being carried, but it is also time to take the bull by the horns. ;-)

Well, someone sent me this email this week:

"Hey Cowgirl, I'm still praying for you. Hope God's rockin' your day, and the Holy Spirit's leading. Kick ass and walk hard. =) "

I appreciate that! :-)

Dove's Eyes

I don't want to talk about You like You're not in the room
I want to look right at You
I want to sing right to You

I believe that You are listening
I believe that You move at the sound of my voice

Give me dove's eyes
Give me undistracted devotion for only You

To the ends of the earth....

Sent from one of my darling sisters while "listening."

"Here I am, I will go." The LORD delights in your eagerness to follow Him to the ends of the earth. HE is your provision. Stand in awe of His mighty deeds.

St. Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
